Does anyone know of a good editing software to use for the purpose of article writing?

This would be for writing and editing professionally

1. Try http://www.openoffice.org/ its a full office suite and completely free. Let me know how you find it.
2. Good idea to do it yourself. Keeps your ideas as you originally wanted if you edit yourself. I am not sure there is any editing software that really does all that is needed in editing. A good course may be the best bet. On line try www.ed2go.com. Jackie Landis' course is really great. I took it to refresh, and there was so much I needed to refresh on. I printed each lesson, etc., put it in a large notebook, and now have an organized resource for reminding me. Minrosoft Office is really good software. It is expensive, but since 2007 edition is out, you could use the 2003 service edition of Jan 2006. It is also very good. A color printer is helpful--you can put the recommended changes in dif color.
